Adults interested in becoming Catholic are invited to participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).  Adult Catholics seeking to be confirmed are also invited to participate in the program.

Please contact (502) 583-4448 for more information.

Overview

In the sacraments of Christian initiation we are freed from the power of darkness and joined to Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.  We receive the Spirit of filial adoption and are part of the entire people of God in the celebration of the memorial of the Lord’s death and resurrection.

Goals

The word “catechesis” comes from the Greek word meaning "to inform" or "to instruct", especially in matters of faith.  At the heart of catechesis is the Person of Jesus Christ.  The goal of catechesis is to prepare the catechumens and candidates, by instruction in the faith, for reception of the sacraments and Christian life.
